エンツォ・フェラーリをデザインした男として有名な奥山清行氏（KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN）と取り組んだ Maison & Objet 出展作品。

"ARITA 400project" initiated by Saga prefecture, aimed to renovate Arita porcelain industry and develop global market towards the Arita porcelain's 400th anniversary in 2016.

Arita Porcelain Lab worked in collaboration with designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama to produce world-class products such as Milk series and Tea Pot & Cup, and presented at the international trade fair "Maison et Objet".

OKUYAMA Kiyoyuki

Industrial Designer​ ​

Born in Yamagata, Japan, 1959. In 2007, KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN was founded providing business consultancy to many corpora-tions. Ken also produces cars, eyewear, interior products under his original brand.

He is currently a director of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. and a visiting professor at Art Center College of Design, Tama Art University, Kanazawa College of Art and the Faculty of Engineering of Yamagata University.

It is one of Arita’s oldest and largest-scale operating kilns.
Our luxury and modern style of Arita porcelain pieces are created​ ​
one by one by handwork of skilled artisants,
taking advantage of the unique and techniques inherited in tradition of Yazaemon kiln, which evolved through countless trials.
