I decided to join the company Arita Porcelain Lab because I wanted to work for production by hands and not by machines. First the patterns are outlined in gosu (a pigment of cobalt oxide) and then paint is applied inside the patterns.

I would like to continue improving my skills without compromise.

I think that the desire to improve oneself is important. In order to improve my skills of drawing, I keep drawing at home and painting classes. It is fascinating to be able to draw the Meiji Old Imari patterns of 100 years ago. I was very happy to be given the opportunity to draw such fine patterns.

Arita Porcelain Lab products changes to adapt the needs of the time.

I think that Arita Porcelain Lab products meet the young customers' senses. It is good that new comers are joining us now to rejuvenate our company. I think they will contribute to create a lot of new design to gain more young customers. I wish Arita Porcelain Lab to be patronized by lot of customers for a long time.

It is one of Arita’s oldest and largest-scale operating kilns.
Our luxury and modern style of Arita porcelain pieces are created
one by one by handwork of skilled artisants,
taking advantage of the unique and techniques inherited in tradition of Yazaemon kiln, which evolved through countless trials.
