In charge of overglazing
I joined this company Arita Porcelain Lab because I like the opportunity to be given equally to young workers. In charge of painting process after firing.
We cherish the traditional patterns but our products are not old style, and can be appreciated by the young customers.
The same product may turn a little different when made by different craftsmen. I find interesting how every piece looks different.
My goal is to reach the level of my seniors as soon as I can.
Not only in terms of skills, I would like to become like my senior as a person.
There were tasks I couldn't work in my previous workplace because I was too young, but Arita Porcelain Lab allows me to challenge anything. I feel motivated to work on large variety of small to big pieces.

Founded in 1804, “Arita Porcelain Lab” is the modern brand name of the Yazaemon Kiln, which was established over 200 years ago.
It is one of Arita’s oldest and largest-scale operating kilns.
Our luxury and modern style of Arita porcelain pieces are created
one by one by handwork of skilled artisants,
taking advantage of the unique and techniques inherited in tradition of Yazaemon kiln, which evolved through countless trials.
